Ultraviolet systems (UV) are systems used for disinfection purposes. Disinfection with Hydrolight Ultraviolet Systems enables microorganisms to be neutralized without adding any chemical or oxidant to the water.
It emits UV rays to the water entering the device with a low pressure mercury lamp placed in a glass cover. Thus, it makes the DNA and RNA structures of microorganisms ineffective by degrading. Since it is disinfected without using heat and chemicals, it does not cause any change in the taste and chemical composition of the water.
Ultraviolet lamps should be replaced once a year (9000 hours on average) after their lifetime. This period may vary according to the manufacturers.
